Crysta Parkinson, CD(DONA), HCHD
Crysta Parkinson is a wife, mother, and writer on the plains of North Dakota. In a past life she was a newspaper editor, but is now blissfully management-free as a stay-at-home mom and full-time doula. She and her husband Justin have a big happy “his, hers, and ours” family with six beautiful children.
Shortly after their marriage in 2004, Crysta and Justin were looking for a place to raise their blended family. They soon found the quiet North Dakota community of Williston and put down roots.
West coast born and raised, Crysta found there were some things about home she missed – like readily available doula services. The idea was always there, but it would be six years before the stars aligned for Crysta and her good friend Karli to start Cyber Doulas.
Crysta has given birth to four children, including an emergency cesarean in 1997 and a VBAC in 1999. She is a strong supporter of a mother’s empowerment to make choices regarding her birth experience.
