Karli Anne Keck
Karli first heard of the word “Doula” when she was in professional acting school. That limited knowledge inspired her interest in having a gentle, low intervention birth. A few years later another friend shared the important difference having a doula meant at her own hospital birth.
After birthing their daughter at home with the expertise of a direct entry midwife, Karli got reacquainted with (the amazing!) Crysta Parkinson and, for a third time, was introduced to the concept of a doula. At this point it finally clicked, and a new doula was born!
"I believe that every woman has the capability to birth her child in the way she chooses! My greatest wish for moms-to-be is that they get the information they desire, and the confidence to follow their hearts and minds. I hope to help moms feel at ease, respected, and satisfied with their experiences, and outcomes of their birth, whether things went as “planned” or not. Birth should be empowering! Not only to moms, but for the entire new family that has been created with the addition of each child." ~Karli
Karli has a wonderful husband of 5 years (Samuel), two awesome stepchildren, and a biological daughter. She grew up here on the Great Plains, yet has also enjoyed her time in Canada, Minneapolis and Hawaii.
